Installation Tips

• Disconnect the spark plug wire before beginning service.
• Clean the area around the air filter housing and oil filter base before removal.
• Apply a thin film of clean engine oil to the new oil filter gasket before installing.
• Hand-tighten the new oil filter until the gasket makes contact, then tighten an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn. Do not over-tighten.
• After installation, check the engine oil level and adjust as needed.
