  • A loud grinding, humming, or squealing noise is audible coming from the bottom of the washer during the drain cycle.
  • Water is visibly leaking from the base of the machine, originating from a crack in the pump housing.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect the washing machine from the electrical outlet and shut off the water supply before starting the repair.
  • Access the pump by removing the bottom front access panel (for front loaders) or tipping the machine back (for top loaders).
  • Place a shallow pan and towels underneath the existing pump to catch residual water before disconnecting the hoses.
  • Use pliers to squeeze and slide the spring clamps back to remove the inlet and outlet hoses.
  • Disconnect the wire harness, unscrew the mounting bolts securing the old pump to the chassis, and install the new unit in reverse order.
